THE IIRC REPORT AND AQUINO'S PRESIDENCY

Now that the IIRC report has been released in China and the Philippines, I eagerly await whether President Noynoy Aquino has the political will to punish the people who failed to perform their duties. I am particularly interested to see whether P-Noy will really go after ABS-CBN, GMA7 and TV5 as recommended in the report.
But during his press conference, P-Noy admitted that the report is merely recommendatory. It will still be up for review whether those recommended to be charged will actually be charged. I fear that in the end, no one will be charged much less put in jail. The three biggest networks in the country will be merely reprimanded. After all, P-Noy can ill-afford to close down the said networks. Shutting down media, particularly the big networks, will only start his downfall. P-Noy must play his cards right with regards to the IIRC report. One wrong move will be detrimental to his presidency.
