This blogger believes that the people's champ will go all out for the win the minute the bell rings. In what could be his last fight, Pacquiao will certainly want to retire in spectacular fashion. And what better way than to finish off his opponent in round 1 ?
But the more compelling reason for Pacquiao to finish off the fight in the quickest possible time is the offensive and uncalled for uploading of the video showing Margarito making fun of Freddie Roach's slurred speech and trembling hands. The video is not only an affront to the brilliant coach but an insult to all those with physical affliction. This blogger believes that Pacquiao will avenge the pride and dignity of his coach and all those who are physically challenged. Margarito should have been advised not to upset Pacquiao. He now has set himself up for a terrible beating at the hands of the people's champ.
I don't think Pacquiao will use that kind of motivation to speed things up and finish off Margarito in the first round. Actually, he CANNOT do that, simply because Margarito is too big and too heavy. Pacquiao will most likely beat up the bigger fighter just like what happened with De la Hoya and Cotto. No KO here, just TKO.
ReplyDeleteI believe, though, that a lucky punch isn't the only way Margarito could beat Pacquiao. For him to have a chance, he needs to box. He needs to go back to the basics, use his reach advantage, keep his distance, play defense and pick his punches carefully. Beating Pacquiao is not impossible.
