COACH ABOY, COACH BOYET AND THE U.P. MEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM

U.P. lost to FEU for its fourth straight defeat in the UAAP. People will surely go the usual routine of finger-pointing as to who is to blame for the mess that the U.P. men's basketball team is currently in.
While I am not aware of what forced Coach Aboy to take an indefinite leave, I hold the opinion that abandoning the team in the middle of the tournament is highly unprofessional. His decision to just suddenly walk out of his coaching job at the slightest provocation does not send a good sign to the team. Basically, the U.P. team needs someone who can turn it into a fighting mean machine. The last thing the team needs is one who abandons ship. It must live up to its name of fighting Maroons.
The entry of Coach Boyet as head coach, I assume, is being stalled by legality. Since Coach Aboy has not resigned from his post, Coach Boyet cannot be officially made the head coach of the team. Whether he is the head coach, interim head coach or team consultant, one thing is for sure. His record in the PBA as a coach qualify him for the head coach position for U.P..
I still say enough of the drama, U.P.. It is time to buckle down to hard work. There is still time to get into fighting form. Go fighting Maroons !
