A GOOD START BY GINEBRA

Ginebra won over Meralco Bolts last Friday in convincing fashion. Nate Brumfield, Ginebra's import, scored 30 points, pulled down 11 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the team to victory. With the import and locals playing as a unit, fans can certainly expect Ginebra to do well in the current conference.
Another good sign for Ginebra is its apparent killer's instinct. Ginebra was able to sustain its big lead until the final buzzer. In a short conference like the current conference, each team must truly treat each game as a do-or-die match. In the current conference, four teams will immediately be eliminated after the first single round robin. Hence, the team that accumulates more wins will have an inside track to the next stage. And if its initial victory is an indication of things to come, then Ginebra is certainly on its way to a memorable finish in the current conference.
