WHERE TO, MARK CAGUIOA ?

There are talks that Mark Caguioa is on his way out of the Ginebra team. His diminishing playing time and subsequent benching during a crucial game fuel talks that he is no longer needed by the team. There are speculations  that Coach Jong benched Caguioa because of his insistence to play ball hog.
While I do understand the hurt feelings of Mark Caguioa and some of his fans, in the long run, I think Mark's benching will result to better things for Ginebra. For one, it will make Caguioa reconsider his brand of play. It might make Caguioa more of a team player. Second, it forces Caguioa to swallow his pride. His benching is but a reminder that he is not indispensable to the team. Ginebra won games without Caguioa posting significant contribution. Other players in the team have been proven to come up to the challenge whenever Caguioa fails to deliver. Third, the benching of Caguioa only goes to show how powerful a coach truly is. A player cannot throw his weight around in front of a coach. Even a superstar player can be benched by a coach if the coach deems it best to keep the superstar out of the game.
Mark Caguioa, from a reliable source, is currently in the U.S. for a much-needed vacation. Hopefully, Caguioa will be able to carefully think things over. Personally, I hate to see Caguioa leave Ginebra.. But the good thing is that it is still Mark Caguioa who will determine his fate with Ginebra. May he see the whole episode in his career as a new challenge and opportunity to show the great player that he truly is.

  3. Caguioa is this generation's Jaworski. The management can't trade him. Unless they want to see a huge chunk of Ginebra fans go. :P

  7. Source please.

    No source?

You're a bullshit artist! As a journalist (as you claim you are), your duty is NOT to fuel speculation (or worse, make up speculations yourself), but to find the truth behind such speculations.

    Can't do this?

Well then, the word "wannabe" comes to fore.

  8. anu ba naman yan.so you think in the long run marinating mc in the bench will be good for him and the team?oh come on,may mga player na scorer at may mga player na team-player (na naguumapaw sa dami).why convert him to become a different player from what he is now?oh ano result?talo olats.di ka marunong mag analyze maling mali ka!look at how things were when siot was still the coach of ginebra.hay

  12. I doubt na matrade si MC47 or kahit siya yung mar pepresenta na itrade... mark is the heart and soul of ginebra... hindi papayagan ng Ginebra management yung nangyari kay Baguio na matapos nilang kupkupin eh binawian sila sa huli...

  19. Thanks EFD for the blog..

You've just give us some idea about MC47 and other BGK players.. Well my comment is, let's allow nalang mag retire si MC47, JJ Helterbrand and EMENK30 wearing Ginebra Uniform.. they are the heart and soul of the team.. and remember.. sobrang malaki ang utang na loob natin sa kanila because 4 championship din binigay nila satin..

  20. Well, I believe MC47 now is not anymore the MC47 2 years ago. That supposed-career ending injury on both knees slowed him down this season. I doubt he can play longer minutes anymore. If he does(I crossed my fingers), that injuries might come back.

  23. Mark Caguioa is a franchise player just like Alvin Patrimonio. There's no way Ginebra management will trade him.
