Danica Magpantay, a 17 year old fine arts student from U.P., did the country proud by winning the title of Supermodel of the World 2011. Besting 70 models from around the world, Danica is the first Filipina to win in the prestigious model search. Prior to Danica's victory, Melanie Marquez and last year's bet Chat Almarez held the highest finish by a Filipina in the competition by placing first runner-up.
Danica, who beat her sister to represent the Philippines, stands 5'9'' and plans to continue her studies and modelling in the U.S.
