A PRINCIPLED SIGNATURE FOR PVF

After a day and a half, I have finally come up with an online petition to save Philippine Volleyball Federation. The petition aims to gather 100,00 signatures to compel FIVB to take a second look at the Philippine volleyball situation.

While the task of gathering 100,00 signatures is daunting, I remain hopeful. After all, there are a lot of volleyball stakeholders, fans and players who know the truth and are brave enough to make a stand. Enough is enough for POC and LVPI officials who are only after their vested interests. It is time to save PVF and tell POC and LVPI officials that people can only take so much. It is time to tell FIVB that it made a big mistake and must undo the damage that it has done.

Thus, I urge you my dear readers to affix your signatures in the petition below. Your signature will stand for what is right. Your signature will stand for sports leadership without politics and favoritism. Your signature will stand for what is best for Philippine volleyball.

PIRMA PARA SA PHILIPPINE VOLLEYBALL

Nakakadismaya ang naging performance ng Pilipinas sa nakaraang SEA Games na ginanap sa Singapore, lalung-lalo na sa volleyball. Sa unang pagkakataon mula 1977,  walang napanalunang medalya ang Philippine women's volleyball team sa SEA Games.

Ang mas nakakadismaya, nanulot pa ang LVPI bilang volleyball NSA para lamang ilagay sa kahihiyan ang bansa. Sinira at ipinawalang-saysay ng LVPI ang pagod at preparasyon ng Pilipinas Amihan at Bagwis para sa iba't-ibang torneo para lang umeksena. Ipinagkait sa volleyball ng LVPI ang Php 250M na sponsorship para sa volleyball ng dalawa sa pinakamalaking kumpanya sa Pilipinas. Kaya naman ngayon, di makasali sa VTV Cup sa Vietnam ang women's team at ang men's team sa isang torneo sa Iran dahil sa kakulangan sa pondo.

Kaya naman, layunin ng signature campaign na ito na himukin ang opisyal ng POC at LVPI na ipaubaya na sa PVF ang pamamalakad sa volleyball.

Iligtas natin ang bansa sa dagdag pang kahihiyan. Iligtas natin ang volleyball sa mga kamay ng mga oportunista at sakim sa kapangyarihan at yaman. Iligtas natin ang mga atleta na ginagamit lang upang maisakatuparan ang pansariling interes ng ilan.

Ilakip natin ang ating pirma upang iligtas ang volleyball sa Pilipinas.

PVF SA GITNA NG POC AT PSC : NASAAN ANG HUSTISYA ?

Ang double registration sa SEC ng Philippine Volleyball Federation ang itinuturong dahilan ng POC ar PSC  sa pagbawi ng pagkilala at tuluyang pagbuwag sa 64-year old volleyball NSA. Kaya naman, minarapat ng inyong lingkod na imbestigahan ang estado ng SEC registrations ng sampung iba pang NSA's. Sa pamamagitan ng imbestigasyon, makikita kung makatwiran ba o hindi ang ginawa ng POC at PSC sa PVF.

Kapansin-pansin na wala ni isa sa sampung NSA's na inimbestihan ang nagtataglay nang malinis na SEC registration. Tatlo sa mga ito ang revoke na ang SEC registration nuon pang 2003. Ito ay ang Philippine Bowling Congress, Philippine Weightlifting Association at Philippine Sepak Takraw Association. Sa kabila ng revoked na SEC registrations, patuloy na kinikilala at pinopondohan ng POC at PSC ang mga nabanggit na NSA's hanggang sa kasalukuyan.

Ang Philippine Fencing Association, Philippine Rowing Association, Philippine Wushu Federation at Integrated Cycling Federation of the Philippines, bagamat active ang SEC registrations, ay pawang mga kandidato na para sa revocation. Ayon sa Corporation Code of the Philippines, ang di pagsumite ng mga nabanggit na NSA's ng General Information Sheet at Financial Statements sa SEC ng limang magkakasunod na taon ay sapat ng dahilan upang i-revoke ang kani-kanilang SEC registrations. Tulad ng mga NSA's na revoked na ang SEC registration, patuloy na kinikilala at pinopondohan ng POC at PSC ang apat na NSA's.

Ang Philippine Badminton Association at Philippine National Shooting Association ay nagbayad naman ng penalties upang masolusyunan ang di pagsumite ng mga dokumento nung mga nakalipas na taon.

Kakaiba naman ang SEC registration ng Integrated Cycling Federation of the Philippines dahil dalawang SEC numbers ang hawak nito. Ganun pa man, di ito alintana ng POC at PSC. Patuloy ang pagpopondo ng POC at PSC sa Integrated Cycling Federation of the Philippines.

Sa mga rebelasyong ito, di maiwasang itanong kung bakit bukod-tangi na binawian ng pagkilala ng POC at PSC ang PVF. Sa gitna ng mga NSA's na mahigit isang dekada nang revoked ang SEC registrations, bakit ang PVF, na malinis na ang SEC registration ngayon, ang napiling buwagin ng POC at PSC ? Bakit nagawang tuldukan ng POC at PSC ang papaganda nang pamamalakad ng PVF nang dahil sa SEC registration nito gayung ang Philippine Integrated Cycling Federation of the Philippines ay may dalawa ring SEC registration numbers subalit patuloy na kinikilala at pinopondohan ?

Ngayon, makatwiran ba ang ginawa ng POC at PSC sa PVF ? Malinaw na malinaw na hindi.

THE WORST SHOWING OF A PHILIPPINE WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL TEAM IN THE SEAG

For the first time since 1977, a participating Philippine women's volleyball team failed to bag a medal in the Southeast Asian Games. The ignominy goes to the team formed and sent by Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. to the 2015 Singapore SEAG.

The poor and embarrassing performance of the volleyball team could have been averted if POC did not disrupt the volleyball program of Philippine Volleyball Federation. Philippine Amihan and Bagwis were already practicing for four months when POC entered the picture and created LVPI. LVPI officials had the gall to demand control over Philippine volleyball when PVF already had a program backed up by two of the biggest companies in the country. Romasanta had the audacity to become the president of a volleyball organization when he hardly knows anything about the sport.

Aside from failing to advance to the medal round, what makes the performance of the Philippine women's volleyball team shameful is the protest that it submitted to SEAG organizers regarding the true gender of Indon player Aprilia Manganang. The protest reeks of shocking ignorance and outright shamelessness. The protest reveals the lack of class and common sense of LVPI officials. The entire nation needlessly became the laughing stock of the tournament with that baseless protest.

Shame on all of us !

ON APRILIA MANGANANG AND THE STUPIDITY OF CAMACHO, JOEY ROMASANTA, GORAYEB AND PALOU

With Camacho, Romasanta, Gorayeb and Palou insisting Indonesian volleyball star Aprilia Manganang is a man, I am now totally convinced that these self-proclaimed Filipino sports leaders have no business being in sports management. These four officials put the Philippines in a tremendously embarrassing situation and strained the country's relationship with Indonesia.

A simple background check on the Indonesian player would have revealed to the four Filipino sports clowns that IOC and FIVB have allowed Manganang to play in various international competitions as a female since 2012. That the Indonesian player has passed gender tests that were conducted on her.

Camacho, Romasanta, Gorayeb and  Palou acted like ignoramuses with the protest that they lodged against Manganang. And their protest truly deserved to be thrown to the trash bin. Come to think of it, the trash bin is the best place for these four officials.

HIHINGI PA BA NG EXTENSION ANG LVPI SA PAGSUMITE NG POC RECOGNITION SA KORTE ?

Sa nakaraang mandatory injunction hearing sa pagitan ng PVF, LVPI at POC, hiningi ng judge ang POC recognition ng LVPI. Napansin ng judge na ilang ulit na binabanggit ng abugado ng LVPI na ang LVPI ang kinikilalang NSA ng POC. Subalit sa kabila ng paulit-ulit na pahayag ng abugado ng LVPI, walang makitang dokumento ang hukom na magpapatunay sa mga pahayag na ito. Kaya, minabuti ng hukom na humingi ng kopya ng POC recognition ng LVPI mula sa abugado mismo ng LVPI.

Sana naman, hindi na humingi ng extension ang LVPI sa pagsumite ng hinihinging POC recognition. Napakadali kasing idahilan na ang mga opisyal ng LVPI ay nasa SEAG kaya nangangailangan pa sila ng dagdag na panahon para matugunan ang hiling ng hukom. Subalit, ang nasabing dokumento ay nagawa na nuon pang Jan. 20, 2015. Sa katunayan, nuong Jan. 20, 2015 sumulat si POC President Cojuangco sa FIVB para sabihin na LVPI ang kinikilalang NSA ng volleyball sa Pilipinas.

Siguro naman, hindi bitbit ni LVPI President Romasanta ang nasabing dokumento sa  SEAG para di maisumite sa korte sa Martes. At sa malamang, naka-file lang ito sa opisina ng LVPI sa Pasig.

Kung hihingi pa ng extension ang LVPI, isa lang ang ibig sabihin nito. Wala talagang POC recognition ang LVPI at gagawa pa ito, sa pakikipagtulungan ng POC, para maisumite sa korte.
