I am so disturbed with the insistence of the Philippine Football Federation to send the U23 Azkals to the Southeast Asian Games this December. PFF does not seem to know how to conform to the standards set by the Philippine Olympic Committee and can't take no for an answer. PFF is so determined to send the Azkals to the SEA Games that it is even willing to shoulder the entire cost of sending the team to Phnom Penh.
I really don't understand what compelling reason PFF has in insisting that the U23 Azkals must join the contingent for the SEA Games. During the last edition of the biennial, Azkals finished last. The team captain abandoned the team in the middle of the tournament. which got him a lifetime ban. Lastly, no less than Ronnie Nathanielz received reports that two Azkals players had their girlfriends inside their hotel rooms. See report.
The Azkals have represented the country in the worst possible way. So why is PFF still insisting that they represent the country once again ? I am so dumbfounded.
