While other stars like Lady Gaga and Clint Eastwood also did their share to help Japan, Sandra Bullock stands out because she donated a huge sum of money out of her own pocket. Considering that she herself has recently gone through a personal crisis, Sandra Bullock had enough focus and compassion to act in such a big humanitarian way. Perhaps, she identifies with the loss and grief of the Japanese people. Perhaps, she knows all too well the need to make a difference when disaster strikes. Or perhaps, Sandra Bullock is one of the very few celebrity who refuses to just sit and stare at the events happening around her.
