A CALL TO BOYCOTT UAAP AND NCAA

If a report is to be believed, UAAP and NCAA have joined the POC - backed  LVPI. Ricky Palou of UAAP and Peter Cayco of NCAA have allegedly joined forces with Romasanta, Chaves, Paredes and Tamayo to become the set of officers of LVPI.

It is rather disturbing that UAAP and NCAA, through Palou and Cayco respectively, joined the obviously - wrong LVPI. It makes one wonder what message UAAP and NCAA is trying to send to students with this particular stunt.

I hope that the volleyball community shows its disgust with this latest stunt of UAAP and NCAA through a boycott of their games. The organizers of these collegiate leagues have the responsibility to stand up for what is right on an issue that severely affects their very own players and coaches. By joining LVPI, UAAP and NCAA organizers refuse to take that responsibility seriously.

A boycott of UAAP and NCAA is in order to teach them a lesson.

MY RESPONSE TO SEN. ANGARA'S RESPONSE PART 2

Dear Sen. Angara, .

Good morning.

You seem to be missing the point. First of all, it was POC that first intervened with the affairs of PVF. You say

that LVPI must be granted autonomy by POC. But you do not see anything wrong when POC took over the

affairs of PVF. This brazen act of POC is what is central to the whole conflict.
.    .
Thank you..         .

Eric.                      .
    .
PS  The reason why volleyball teams are not being sent to international competitions is the fault of POC. Hindi po pinapayagan ng POC na makasali ang mga teams natin. Ang POC ang hadlang.

SEN. ANGARA'S RESPONSE PART 2

Dear Mr. Dimzon,

We note the points in your e-mail dated February 18, 2015, and appreciate your continuing concern in the women's national volleyball team and its participation in the upcoming SEA Games in June 5-16, 2015 in Singapore.

Like you, we are eager to ensure that we have a women's volleyball team play in the tournament after a ten-year hiatus.

We have looked into the nuances of the events from last September up to the present especially in so far as it affects the team's participation in the SEAG and other international tournaments as well as the players in the national team.

As it stands, the current volleyball NSA provisionally recognized by the FIVB is the Larong Volleyball Sa Pilipinas, Inc.  (LVPI). It will be holding its elections on February 23, 2015.  Due as well to the  IOC rule proscribing political intervention in purely internal affairs of the NSA's, it is best to allow the LVPI go through such democratic process sans external intervention.

In any event, we have taken the initiative to formally get in touch with the POC and PSC to shed more light into this matter.

Finally, while we exercised prudence and restraint in calling for a Senate investigation to allow the stakeholders resolve the matters themselves, should the matter remain unresolved so as to jeopardize the team's participation in SEAG, rest assured that we will not hesitate to timely intervene.

Again, we reiterate our common vision and objective of ensuring our women's volleyball team in the upcoming SEAG.

Sincerely,Office of Senator Sonny Angara

MY RESPONSE TO SEN. ANGARA'S EMAIL ON PHILIPPINE VOLLEYBALL

Dear Sen. Angara,

With all due respect, who fed you those lies sir ?

First of all, why will players from Pilipinas Amihan And Pilipinas Bagwis go to the new NSA when the new POC-backed NSA failed to submit the FIVB requirements for full recognition ? The new NSA failed to meet the deadline set by FIVB for full recognition. Hence, it is not a duly-recognized NSA by FIVB for volleyball in the Philippines.

Secondly, the situation is far from stabilized. POC in fact, created more tension during a meeting with the players yesterday afternoon. During the meeting, POC shoved down the throats of the players that it alone has the power to send a team to the SEAG and that the players cannot do anything about it.

Thirdly, have your informants, at the very least, told you why POC usurped the power and authority of PVF ? As I have shown with the documents I have sent you, POC does not have a single valid reason not to recognize PVF as the official NSA of the land.

I hope you review the volleyball situation carefully. No less than an investigation will truly bring out the truth.

Sincerely yours,

Eric F. Dimzon

RESPONSE FROM SEN. ANGARA'S OFFICE REGARDING THE VOLLEYBALL CRISIS

Dear Mr. Dimzon,

We were informed that the old volleyball NSA team members were absorbed by the new NSA; hence, the

situation being stabilized, the rights of the players were ensured.

Rest assured that we will continue to get in touch with the stakeholders and monitor the situation.

Should another problem arise, we will act on it accordingly.

Sincerely yours,

Office of Senator Sonny Angara

OTIE CAMANGIAN : THE MAN POC WANTS TO GET RID OFF

courtesy of sportsdesk.ph

Rustico "Otie" Camangian is the secretary-general of the Philippine Volleyball Federation.  He is the man responsible for the formation of Pilipinas Amihan and Pilipinas Bagwis. He too is responsible for bringing in PLDT Home Fibr to support what many consider the best Philippine volleyball teams that can be assembled at this time.

Camangian first gained volleyball prominence as a national youth player in 1989.  From 1991-1998, he became an indoor and beach volleyball RP team mainstay. He was the team captain of the national squad from 1994-1998. While a national player, Camangian was with the Philippine Air Force from 1994-2006.

But what is truly remarkable with Otie, as he is fondly called, is that he places high value on education. Unlike most athletes who merely rely on their athletic accomplishments to launch their careers, Otie took the time to better himself by studying further. He has masteral and doctorate degrees safely tucked under his belt.

It is insane that POC wants someone like Otie Camangian out of volleyball. The man that POC wants, Joey Romasanta, is not even a volleyball player, much less a former national athlete. Why will the Filipino volleyball community settle for Romasanta when it can have Camangian ? Why settle for less when you can have more ?

A CALL TO BOYCOTT PHILIPPINE SUPERLIGA AND TATS SUZARA

courtesy of facebook.com
Tats Suzara was very instrumental in bringing Peping Cojuangco and Joey Romasanta to Thailand to meet FIVB official Mr. Wei and AVC official Mr. Wongprasert. Together with Cojuangco and Romasanta, Suzara told Mr. Wei and Mr. Wongprasert about the "dysfunctionality" of the Philippine Volleyball Federation. Suzara too went to Switzerland to work on the FIVB recognition of Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas Incorporated behind PVF's back.

Mr. Suzara thinks that he can get away with all the detrimental things he has done to PVF and volleyball in general. But with the help of volleyball fan, Suzara will soon learn a painful lesson.

I appeal to all upright volleyball fans to boycott Suzara's Philippine Superliga. Let us not watch any of the games of Superliga. Let us boycott as well the companies that will join Superliga. It is time to force Suzara to pay for the great disservice he has done to Philippine volleyball.

It is payback time.
