As major sponsors pulled out of Willing Willie, it left Willie Revillame with no choice but to think things over. Starting tonight, Willing Willie will no longer be aired live. No new episodes are likewise scheduled until April 24, 2011.
What Willie Revillame thought as a funny number of a six-year old unexpectedly turned into a nightmare for the popular host. Revillame did not know what hit him. He did not expect the rather distateful act of Janjan Estrada and his approval of the act to cause such an outrage among viewers. Not even the ten thousand pesos that Willie gave Janjan could compensate for the child abuse that Janjan suffered in front of millions of viewers. At least that was what most viewers thought which prompted a lot of them to propose a boycott of the show's sponsors. And with the boycott came the decision of most of the sponsors to pull out their placements in Willing Willie.
Hopefully, Willie Revillame will realize that giving out millions of pesos does not give him the right to abuse people. Hopefully, Willie refrains from making the poor act like fools in front of the camera to generate just a few laughs. And hopefully, Revillame treats his fans and followers with respect and dignity. After all, everyone deserves respect, whether he or she is poor or not.

ReplyDeleteThough I'm not in favor of Papi's acts, hindi naman din siguro tamang pagkaisahan siya. Sponsors pulling out of the show para mawala yung programa? Kahit papano may naitulong din ang programa sa tao.
Mali yung ginawa ni Papi pero siguro disciplinary action na lang o suspension. He's wrong, but he's not a criminal.

the show of willie is really a dangerous watch. it promotes dangerous values. pinakikita sa show na okay lang gawing katawa tawa ang mga maliliit na tao dahil bibigyan naman sila ng pera. okay lang na pasayawin nang malaswa ang isang bata kahit na ayaw niya dahil bibigyan naman siya ng ten thousand pesos.
hindi pinagkaisahan ng mga sponsors si willie. nanindigan lamang sila sa abusong ginawa ni willie. napagpasiyahan lamang ng mga sponsors na wag tumulong sa pagpapalaganap ng maling asal at gawa. ang matindi, ni minsan ay di umamin si willie na mali ang ginawa niya sa anim na taong bata. kaya dapat lang na layuan siya ng mga sponsors.

Willie wille is a place of people wanted to have FUn and for the people who are needy.most of his fans cant access internet to express their feelings. tHose are elderly, indigent, children esp. the ill. Willie gives happiness for his countrymen , Willie served as an instrument to give wealth to people esp. the needy countrymen ,- that's the way he help ok? and why are you guys criticize his personality? that's the way he talk...and that's he'snature. Everyone has a unique identity? don't you?and why you guys focused to jan jan issue's dancing?don't you see other shows?He is just really misunderstood.to sum it all 90% likes willie and just 10% dislike him.may i ask you guys , if someone treating you bad or judging ones attitude, don't you react on it?
ReplyDeleteWillie's primary attraction to the viewing public is the MONEY that he distributes to the viewers. No matter how he much he is reprimanded he will never learn his lessons. As long as there are TV stations desperate to get his services then no one can teach this guy any form of decency. As long as people keep supporting him then he will continue to think that he has the right to be arrogant.
