WORLD CUP 2010 : SOUTH KOREA KEEPS ASIA IN THICK OF THINGS

South Korea drew with Nigeria to gain entry into the round of 16 of the World Cup. With its earlier victory against Greece, South Korea scored a total of 4 points to place second behind Argentina in Group B. Uruguay will be South Korea's next opponent in the round of 16.
I am extremely pleased that South Korea managed to get past the elimination round. Despite a low world ranking of 47th, the South Korean team displays courage and great skill in its current campaign in the World Cup. Together with the tremendous support of the Korean people for the team, I will dare say that South Korea might even surpass its 2002 finish. There is magic in the way South Korea is playing. Needless to say, I will continue to cheer for Korea in their quest to become the first Asian nation to win the World Cup.
